The CY (Challenge Yourself) Asia Dance Star Challenge is a pioneering international dance competition dedicated to nurturing dynamic and passionate dancers. We firmly believe that at every stage of growth, challenging oneself is essential.

Competition Schedule
📌 China Semi-Final
Date: May 2-4, 2025

Date:4-8 August 2025
Location: Tokyo, Japan

Participation Fees
📌 Individual Competitions
Classical Ballet
Mini (4-5 years old): ¥1,600 (Master classes not included)
Pre-Competition (6-7 years old) and above: ¥2,000 (Includes master classes, photography/video services available for an additional ¥280)
Chinese Dance & Contemporary Dance: Same as above
Duet: ¥1,500 per dancer
Trio: ¥1,300 per dancer
Group Dance (4+ dancers): ¥1,000 per dancer (fixed fee, regardless of group size)
Fees are non-refundable and include taxes.

Kids 1 (K1) (8-9 years old) (Born between May 2, 2015 – May 1, 2017)
Kids 2 (K2) (10-12 years old) (Born between May 2, 2012 – May 1, 2015)
Junior (JG) (13-15 years old) (Born between May 2, 2009 – May 1, 2012)
Youth (YJ) (16-19 years old) (Born between May 2, 2005 – May 1, 2009)
Adult (AG) (20+ years old) (Born on or before May 1, 2005)

Scholarship recipients are selected based on submitted materials and competition performance.

Performance Regulations
📌 Pointe Shoes
Dancers under 10 years old are not permitted to wear pointe shoes.
📌 Duet, Trio & Group Performances
Open to classical ballet, Chinese dance, and contemporary dance.
Exclusive Opportunities
📌 Japan Final & Gala Performance (August 2025)
Scholarship opportunities
Special choreography selection for the Gala
Top winners may receive offers from prestigious dance academies, summer programs, and scholarships

Decisions of the jury are final and cannot be challenged.
Participants must provide their own music files, labeled in English with their name and the title of the piece.
Backup copies of music files must be brought by each participant to avoid technical issues.
All responsibility for choreography and music copyright lies with the participant.
Participants grant the Organizing Committee permission to film, photograph, and promote competition footage.
By registering, participants agree to comply with all rules and regulations outlined in this document.
